It is impossible to take your eyes off this Italian streetwear brand of clothing and accessories that has made a lot of talk in recent months: United Standard.
How would you describe your brand today?
As you can imagine, the current situation is strange for everybody. There were of course some developments right from the start, as the brand is related to what I am at any particular moment. But the main point of view is the same. I’m thinking about what it will be after these difficult times. I started with an idea of creating an accessory brand. I founded the label and then joined New Guards Group, which is when I started focusing on accessories. However, it’s not easy to launch a small brand based solely on that, as accessories are difficult to produce. It’s also hard to market that sort of brand as it lacks a bold image. In the end, we decided to develop the clothing part, which became the mainstay of the collection....
