What is uberization?
It’s a very broad concept. Uberization is the implementation of an innovative economic model to destabilise a market, using and abusing new technologies to gain efficiency. The technology uses data and lowers costs, particularly public costs, which then have a positive effect on end customers. Everyone is looking for the most fluid consumer experience possible. Business models with resellers and retailers leave little room for new entrants. If you want to make room for yourself but have little exposure, you therefore have to think outside the box.
Is it necessarily linked to new technologies?
There is no uberization without new technologies. The use of the self-employed is overwhelming in the uberized world, but some companies deal either with employees or individuals. Certain delivery services only have employees, for example.
